Business Development Consultant: lead our UK market entry
We are looking for an experienced, self-starting Business Development Consultant based in the UK to lead our commercial market entry. Freelance, contract or fractional, with direct access to the founders.
Open a new market for a product that is already proven
We are looking for an experienced, self-starting Business Development Consultant / Sales Professional based in the UK to lead our commercial market entry.
This is not a high-volume cold-calling role. You will be representing a mission-critical, emotionally sensitive product where trust, reputation and calm professionalism are paramount.
You will help map the UK landscape, build genuine relationships with independent funeral directors, crematoria operators and local authority bereavement services, and introduce them to a platform that eliminates operational risk.
What you will do
Market entry & mapping
Map the UK market across independent funeral businesses, regional groups, municipal crematoria and private crematorium operators.
Targeted outbound & relationship building
Design and execute consultative outreach campaigns (via LinkedIn, email, phone and industry networking) to secure qualified discovery calls and product demonstrations.
Run discovery & product demos
Understand the daily operational pain points of UK funeral staff, demonstrate how 302 Funeral solves their friction points, and guide prospects from initial interest to pilot or contract.
Gather strategic feedback
Act as the voice of the UK customer, reporting local requirements, competitor landscape insights and integration needs back to our product and leadership team.
Industry partnerships
Explore and develop relationships with UK industry bodies such as NAFD, SAIF and ICCM, as well as audiovisual installers and crematorium technology suppliers.
Pipeline ownership
Manage your leads and opportunities transparently, building a predictable pipeline of recurring SaaS subscriptions.
Who you are
You are comfortable building something from scratch in a conservative, relationship-driven sector, and you know that in this market credibility is earned long before a contract is signed.
Based in the UK
You live and work in the UK and have an authentic understanding of British business culture and etiquette.
Proven in B2B SaaS or solution sales
You have experience opening doors, managing consultative deal cycles and closing deals with business owners or operational directors.
Empathetic & credible communicator
You know how to engage with professionals in sensitive or conservative sectors. You listen deeply and communicate with calm, respectful confidence rather than aggressive sales tactics.
Entrepreneurial & independent
You thrive when taking a proven international product and creating traction in a new territory from scratch.
Tech-savvy
Comfortable demonstrating modern web applications, presenting live online software and understanding basic AV and streaming workflows.
A strong advantage, but not a requirement
Direct experience in, or existing relationships within, the UK funeral care, crematoria or bereavement sector. Knowledge of visual tributes, webcast workflows or music licensing is a huge plus.
Experience selling into venue technology or AV systems is equally valuable. If you recognise yourself in part of this profile but not all of it, we would still like to hear from you.
A proven product, direct access to the people who build it
You will not be selling an unproven beta. 302 Funeral is already deployed daily across major venues and services in mainland Europe.
The role can be structured as a freelance, contract or fractional engagement, depending on your experience and availability. The compensation package will be discussed and agreed based on experience, level of responsibility and the proposed working arrangement. We are open to discussing different models.
A proven, established product
Used every day by leading funeral homes, crematoria and local authorities across mainland Europe.
Direct access to founders & product team
Agile decision-making, fast technical support and dedicated resources to help you win deals.
Flexible working model
Freelance, contract or fractional, structured around your experience and availability.
Competitive compensation
Agreed on experience, level of responsibility and working arrangement. We are open to different models.
Growth potential
The opportunity to build and lead our UK commercial operations as we expand our footprint.

An emotional farewell has no dress rehearsal
At 302 Funeral, part of 302 online applications, we believe that in a funeral service every single detail counts. Not because the technology is necessarily complicated, but because an emotional farewell has no dress rehearsal.
Yet today, many crematoria and funeral directors still juggle outdated, fragmented setups: disconnected presentation software, external USB sticks, separate media players and manual checks. When software fails under pressure, peace of mind disappears.
Already trusted by leading funeral homes, crematoria and local authorities across the Netherlands, including Oleahof, Laurentius and the Municipality of Rotterdam, we are now bringing our proven solution to the UK market.
One reliable, integrated cloud platform
Our cloud platform brings everything together into one reliable, integrated environment.
Playbook Online
Collaborative, real-time ceremony planning where funeral directors, staff and families build visual tributes, manage music and media and finalise service timelines, with every file guaranteed to work flawlessly up to the very last moment.
Funeral Live
High-quality, reliable livestreaming integrated directly into the ceremony timeline, so families who cannot attend in person can still be part of the farewell.
We would love to hear from you
